Cape Cod’s first cold windsurfing day…. but still fun!!
I set up my video camera on the dash of my van and just let it run. This is what I came up with. I was the only windsurfer for the fist part of the session. A bunch of other windsurfers showed up after I was done filming.
Blocktober Fest 2009
Went to Block Island ( Small Island off the East Coast) For 5 days in October. Killer 5 days! Had some good wind and waves to ride, good friends, a few beers and some great weather!! We did not get some great pictures because no one wanted to sit on the beach with a camera.
Here is a shot of one ride but we had much better rides than this.

After a short warm up in Etang Salé, the 16 riders of the team contest "La Reunion Wave Classic" had 3 days in a row of intense surfsailing in hardcore conditions on the local spot "Ravine Blanche".

The bummer summer is ending but the Great White sharks have invaded my playground!!
It was not the best wind summer on Cape Cod but I was very busy with work. I guess I should not complain. Better to have to much work these days.
So over the last two weeks Great White sharks have moved into my home sailing spot and are chomping on seals!
Not sure what to do. I know they have always been there but not in these numbers! And to see them in such shallow waters. This is right where we sail most of the time. Not so worried when sailing but if I get crushed by a wave and have to swim for my rig. Sketchy!!!!!!
SW summer winds are on the way
The first real SW warm and windy day on Nantucket sound. For me nothing beats a 4.7 session. Well ok a 4.7 session in head high waves is best but I will take a 4.7 bump and jump session any day of the week. Check out this video By Jerry Johnson (Sorry for the kite Kooks)

Back on Cape Cod after Hatteras and we are delivered a nice side-sideoff wave day at Coast Guard Beach.
Hatteras Rocked!!!
Once again we hit Hatteras the last two weeks of April and it did not disappoint. Good weather, good friends, good laughs= good times!!!
4 Days in February on Cape Cod
Well it is March 1st and dumping snow here on Cape Cod. I hope the old saying “In like a lion and out like a lamb” holds true for this March. February ended quite mild and we sailed 5.2m on Friday Feb. 27th in 50 degrees F. I sailed 4 days in February. I consider that good for Cape Cod winter sailing. One of those days I met two new hardcore winter Ezzy sailors over on the North shore (Igor & Jaun) also joining us was winter warrior S. Cooper. Igor, Jaun and S. Cooper are three guys that do not let the cold get them down. We sailed in 35-40 deg. air temps and the water must have been in the high 30’s. With sideshore wind and a nice mellow swell it was really a nice session.

Killer trip to baja!
Once again we had a great trip to Los Barriles, Baja the last two weeks of January. We scored 10 windy days out of 15 with many of those days 5.3m and under. We stay at the Vela resort and it is such a good seen. Great staff, great sailing and great fun on and off the water. My only complaint is I wish they had Ezzy Sails. Of all the vacations I have been on I find this to be the most relaxing and fun all at the same time. We have met some really nice people there over the years and look forward to seeing those people each year as well as meeting new people.
