The stoke…

So the other day when I was driving to go windsurfing I had butterflies in my stomach and everyone in front of me was driving way to slow!

I thought to myself “It’s funny that after 23 years of windsurfing you would think the drive to the beach would just become hum hum.” It has not and if anything I just can not get there fast enough. After 23 years I am just as stoked, if not more. I love this sport.

40 MPH winds and 60 deg. F air temps!!!

Wave ride at Coast Guard Beach

Great day Yesterday at Coast Guard Beach here on Cape Cod. Wind was South/Southwest which is side off. Nice Chest high sets made for some fun little wave rides. VIDEO CLIP

  I have been windsurfing since the summer of 1985. That is more than half my life now!!!! I started on lakes in New Hampshire and within a year ended up driving 3 hours each way to Cape Cod, Massachusetts every weekend. After doing that for ten years(1995) I decided to quit my job in Nashua, NH and move to Cape Cod. It seemed that every Monday that I had to head back to work in NH I was going to miss the best wind forecast! That is also the same time I switched to Ezzy Sails and have been on them ever since. Cape Cod is a great place to windsurf but you need flexibility to go when the wind is blowing. Now with my own business I am able to schedule my work around the wind forecast and catch most of the best days. My wife Janice (who also windsurfs) and I go to Los Barriles in Baja just about every year for two weeks and we love it!!! The only thing I don't like is we rent from Vela and I miss my Ezzy sails. Though it let's me compare my Ezzy's to other sails and makes me stoked that what I own are so much better.
  
  So far the wind has been great on Cape Cod this year and it is only going to get better as we move into full season.
  
  We just came back from two weeks in Cape Hatteras, NC and had some killer conditions 3.7m to 5.2m with good waves and fun bump and jump on the sound.
